Bear meat is not the easiest to cook with, and I was just wondering if anyone has a good recipe to share? Maybe Jerky mixture or something of that nature.

Thanks.

LOL, that is about all I have heard. The only other way that I have heard to eat it the meat would be as a Jerky. But who knows I am willing to try anything once...

I'm not a big fan of bear meat either, but in all fairness....  It does make a big difference what the bear has been feeding on, and more importantly, how the meat is cared for.

It's not bad in chili..  Makes pretty good meatballs...  I'm thinking hamburg jerky with the right spice would be great.

try shredding it up like babecue and put it in a crock pot with 1/2 can of your favorite non-diet beer and a bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce. you may need to adjust based on how big your crock is. let it simmer on low all day and then slap it on a bun. best bear i've ever had.

Use any beef recipe but cook it well done... pot roast recipes work very well... keep it moist when you cook it.
